Author talks can be tailored for school, library or adult audiences and can be conducted in a variety of ways. Formats include:
- ‘Interview’ style with audience questions – suitableĀ for relatively small school or adult groups, where I discuss my writing practice with a moderator (such as a teacher or librarian) before opening the discussion to questions from the audience.
- Open/interactive discussion – suitable for library, community or adult groups, especially with those who are interested in the details of writing and publishing.
- Formal speech – suitable for large school groups or more-formal adult audiences.
